If you support Obama, and VOTE for Obama, don’t tell me you’re pro-life. Ever.

People who claim to be “extremely” pro-life and yet somehow can put their conscience aside and still vote for Obama, or any Democrat baffle me. Floor me actually.

This same Obama who could support and defend infanticide as the only one in the Illinois legislature to fail to support a bill that would provide care for newborns who somehow miraculously managed to survive a botched late-term abortion can still get this alleged “Pro-Life Democrat” vote? Maybe this alleged “pro-life Democrat” should have a talk with Melissa Ohden -

In light of the recent national discussion over abortion, it’s important Americans know the President’s best-kept secret: his extreme record on abortion. Melissa Ohden’s powerful story draws a stark contrast to his unbending support of abortion and the abortion industry and reveals the human face to this debate. Melissa’s story is running on Missouri airwaves right now, sponsored by the Susan B. Anthony List, and has $150,000 behind it. President Obama’s appalling record on abortion is not just limited to his four votes to deny rights to abortion survivors but spans to his recent heartless refusal to support bans on sex-selection and late-term abortions. These actions fly in the face of mainstream American views and run counter to the President’s first term pre-election talk of finding common ground.

The video is short, barely over a minute, so you can spare that much time.

Transcript:

Ohden: I was aborted, and my body discarded…like I didn’t exist.

But a nurse heard me crying…and cared enough to save my life.

There’s something else you may not know…when he was in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from a failed abortion. Not once, but four times.

I know that it is by the grace of God I am alive today…if only to ask America this question:

Is this the kind of leadership that will move us forward? Leadership that would discard the least and the weakest among us?

How will you answer?

Well? How will you?

There is no such thing as a pro-life Democrat.

Obamacare’s First Casualty? Religious Liberty

The blow back to Obama’s anti-conscience mandate with Obamacare. Strangely, even some liberals are claiming that they don’t like the idea of politicians getting between their doctor and his patients, but yet who do they think this new bureaucracy will be beholden to? Politicians, who are mandating what a doctor can and cannot do, and have now gone beyond even that to tell clergy at religious hospitals that they must cover abortions. Oh, and condoms, while they’re at it.

Yeah they pretend it’s over “contraception” so people will think “Condoms?”, but remember the leftist considers abortion to be part of contraception.

Family Planning. Planned Parenthood. “Oopsie, that wasn’t planned! Kill it! Kill it now before it grows too big!”

NOTE: So many great links below, I had a hard time choosing among them, so I picked a crapload.

Kudos to Susan G. Komen foundation for (for now) halting funding to Planned Parenthood

Note in the title of this post; “for now”? Nowhere has Komen for the Cure promised or even threatened (depending on where you come down on the life issue) to permanently discontinue funding to Planned Parenthood.

A group participating in a Komen Race for the ...

Image via Wikipedia

The right side of the aisle assumes the best; Komen has seen the light and cut funding to the baby killers at Planned Parenthood.

The left side of the isle assumes the worst; that someone at Komen “got religion” suddenly and now because Komen discontinued grants to Planned Parenthood, women will be dying in the streets.

Both are quite probably wrong, and I’ll tell you why. But first, some background, via Alexa;

Yesterday people who want the best for women and their health rejoiced at the announcement thatSusan G. Komen for the Cure was ending it’s relationship with Planned Parenthood.

~Snip~

Now, aside from Planned Parenthood being a Big Abortion business that aborts a baby every 96 seconds – fine, I get that some people are ok with this destruction of innocent human life – that’s not even Komen’s reason for cutting ties. PP is under under Congressional investigation for a multitude of crimes – which should concern ALL sides of the political spectrum.

How serious are these charges?  U.S. News and World Report’s Washington Whispers reports:

Read it all, but for the moment, lets see what Komen actually says, following a constant barrage of attacks from leftists and the liberals who follow them;

DALLAS, TX — February 1, 2012 – We are dismayed and extremely disappointed that actions we have taken to strengthen our granting process have been widely mischaracterized.  It is necessary to set the record straight.

Starting in 2010, Komen began an initiative to help us do a better job of measuring the impact of community grants. This is important because we invest significant dollars in our local community programs–$93 million in 2011, which provided for 700,000 breast health screenings and diagnostic procedures.

Following this review, we made the decision to implement stronger performance criteria for our grantees to minimize duplication and free up dollars for direct services to help vulnerable women.  To support this new granting strategy, Komen has also implemented more stringent eligibility standards to safeguard donor dollars.  Consequently, some organizations are no longer eligible to receive Komen grants.

Some might argue that our standards are too exacting, but over the past three decades people have given us more than just their money.  They have given us their trust  and we take that responsibility very seriously.

We regret that these new policies have impacted some longstanding grantees, such as Planned Parenthood, but want to be absolutely clear that our grant-making decisions are not about politics.  Throughout our 30 year history, our priority has always been and will continue to be the women we serve.  As we move forward, we are working to ensure that there is no interruption or gaps in services for the women who need our support most in the fight against breast cancer.

Note above in the bold that the standards and criteria were changed. Meet the standard, and Planned Parenthood will no doubt be granted funds. The sides will again be reversed and the right will stop donating, while the left can stop their vile attacks.

As for myself, I donated. Today. And no, I never have before today, and you can thank Alexa and the vicious left who, with sacs bulging with venom, began mindlessly biting at anything colored pink.

If you agree with the decision Komen made to cut funding, vote here with your wallets. Supposedly donations to Planned Parenthood have surged recently, a surge to Komen would be in order as a response.

Si? No?

Dumbest Tweet of the day? How about in the running for all eternity?

I say “eternity” ‘cuz, that’s how long they’ll be hearing about their “choice”

Via Caleb and that Keder feller;

How about a bumper sticker that says “Honk if you run over children!” Maybe a poster that says; “Murder is suave!”

Seriously, what could possibly even remotely be sexy about an abortion? Has the person who typed that crap out for Planned Parenthood ever had an abortion? Or seen one? I’m sure they’d consider the gruesome after affects “sexy”.

I’ll never embed pictures of that stuff, but if you want to see how “sexy” abortions can be, check this out [most pics are graphic and disgusting].

If you seriously think abortion is sexy, you’re just too stupid for words.

Sometimes liberals just piss me off.

Margaret Sanger – Eugenist ’till the End

From an interview in 1957 with Mike Wallace.

Nasty woman…as “Mommy Life” puts it;

The elephant in the living room – as far as modern efforts to elevate Margaret Sanger to secular sainthood – is that Margaret Sanger was an angry, elitist woman who wanted to eradicate the lower classes, including those whose only sin was the color of their skin or their economic condition.

Speaker Pelosi’s Government-Run Health Plan Will Require a Monthly Abortion Premium

Thought we weren’t serious earlier?

It’s war, all-out political war waged by Speaker Pelosi against the citizens of this country. She cares not what you think, what you need, what you want; she only cares about her base and that’s not you (in most cases).

Found; line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed”;

Health care reform should not be used as an opportunity to use federal funds to pay for elective abortions. Health reform should be an opportunity to protect human life – not end it.

Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan. It’s right there on line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account – and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.

Section 213 describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run plan. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.

It is now hour 11, vote is supposed to be tomorrow, Saturday Nov. 6.

Call them. Often.

De-fund Planned Parenthood

Their BS has gone beyond ridiculous to dangerous

I was flipping thru the channels this afternoon and happened to catch Glenn Beck interviewing a young lady from UCLA from a student organization who had gone to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Memphis, Tn. Story goes like this;

Lila Rose, 20-year-old UCLA student and president of the nonprofit Live Action, entered Planned Parenthood’s Memphis Health Center undercover and told a counselor that she was 14 years old, pregnant by her 31-year-old “boyfriend”, and needed a secret abortion so her parents would not find out about her sexual relationship with the older man. Tennessee Code 37-1-605 requires health professionals to report suspected cases of sexual abuse of minors to law enforcement immediately.

“The Planned Parenthood counselor hears about the abuse, says she should report it, decides to remain silent, then tells me to lie to the judge about 31-year-old man.” Rose notes of the video.

The Planned Parenthood counselor tells Rose on camera, “Look, if we keep this conversation I’m gonna have to talk to my manager and yeah, [your boyfriend]‘s gonna get in trouble,” but promises, “I’m not gonna tell anybody, ok?” She adds, “And please don’t say that I told you this.” When Rose tells the counselor she thinks her boyfriend will get in trouble if her parents find out, the counselor advises Rose to lie about the man’s age when speaking to a judge in order to obtain a bypass of Tennessee’s parental consent law for abortion: “Don’t mention it. Just say you have a boyfriend 17 years old…whatever.”

This is only the latest in a series that goes back who knows how many years? A simple Google search turns up a multitude of offenses against children under 18. And yes, humans under 18 are in fact children despite what the group founded by Margaret Sanger (maybe the original radical feminist) might think.
