Thoroughly depressing – Rick Perry endorses David Dewhurst for Hutchison’s Senate seat

I know, it’s politics.

Sigh-

The favor has been repaid.

this morning endorsed David Dewhurst for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Dewhurst, the state’s lieutenant governor, was a strong supporter of Perry’s ill-starred presidential campaign and stumped for Perry before the Iowa caucuses.

In a tweet this morning, Dewhurst (@DavidHDewhurst) declared, “I’m honored that veteran and conservative champion @GovernorPerryis endorsing our campaign for U.S. Senate.”

Dewhurst is leading in Republican primary polls over a field of rivals that includes former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and former football player and ESPN commentator Craig James.

By the way, Rick Perry didn’t get much more enthusiastic support in his presidential bid than he did from Ted Cruz -

Just sayin’…

Angry about gas prices? So was someone ELSE (when he was trying to get elected in 2008)

Is Barack Obama angry about it today? He says he is. Angry at BIG OIL, angry at those Wascally Wepublicans, and angry at you for daring to still be driving your car instead of walking.

If Obama really, really, really wanted to lower gas prices, he could start right now;

Erasing uncertainty is the #1 thing you can do as a national leader if you truly desire to lower gasoline prices. Not only could it change the psychology of energy investing, there is still time for companies to change their 2012 investment plans.

Below the fold is my humble 10-point plan: Things President Obama could (but won’t) do to reduce domestic gasoline prices by November 2012.

Read the whole thing, then bookmark Steve Maley’s blog for future reference; he knows what he’s talking about.
